Xenologist Posted September 18, 2019 Share Posted September 18, 2019 I've theorized this thing from cave bananas from evidence I've pieced together. Cave bananas are mushtrees. They grow without light, and the usual light producing genes have been turned into nutrient producing genes. It just happens that the fruiting body looks, tastes, and feels like bananas and has similar nutrient contents.
