nakomaru
Not me! This should be a feature of the boiling pathway. npnguyen
I want my fresh water. Salt's kinda useless. Wonder if we can do anything else with this. Plus this scales the faster the salt water boils with 25.2% being maximum. @nakomaru can I use your save? avc15
Salt's not useless! I always run out & I'm not even making table salt. Use deoxidizers instead of electrolysis, never run out of metal again, spend way less effort cooling. More salt, yes please. abud
So if we pour it from above it is 2519.5 1 minute ago, PNGray said: I want my fresh water Put your vents in liquid to get more water? Or less heat, just enough to boil it. Btw, you can use last file from nakomaru in your report. Should be clear enough. Btw, what factor to determine how much we get? Still from @nakomaru last save both vents in the left 1956.4g. I just disable sweeper. nakomaru
Theory: The bug is related to 5 ticks per second and 5 heat transfers per second. The element only finally converts after 5 ticks (1 second). Tick 1, the element is spawned. With enough heat, the phase change happens on tick 2. For ticks 3-5, it is still does the phase change check even though it's already done. Phase change happens 4 times. 0.934=0.74805 water. 25.195% salt. If not enough heat, phase change starts on 3rd tick. 1-0.933=19.564% salt. And so on Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/110327-different-composition-between-desalinating-and-boiling-salt-water/page/2/#findComment-1243067 Share on other sites

In the past, i tried to freeze the salt out, but the resulting efficiency was worse than using desalinator on brine Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/110327-different-composition-between-desalinating-and-boiling-salt-water/page/2/#findComment-1243085 Share on other sites
