Miscalculated Printing Pod Bug?

Recommended Posts

I've just started a new run on the Lava Asteroid and deliberately choose °miscalculated printingpod" as world's trait.

After a couple of cycles i've found that i've been spawned almost on the top of the asteroid (which is expected from the world's trait) BUT i am seeing gravitas facility have been spawned basically in the sky not attached to the asteroid.

Could this be considered a bug in the world generation algorithm or it should be considered as normal behavior ?

:?

p.s. Furthermore there's no abyssalite layer covering the top, is this intended too?

Seems like the starting biome has overriden some of the abyssalite layer. Meanwhile the Gravitas stuff looks like it`s in the minimal distance from the start so it`s up in the sky. Also looks like the surface is not flat (which happens in volcanea) if it was flat it might have reached the lobby.

as a quick update on the post i actually have reached the roof of the asteroid and actually the gravitas facility is within it's borders now i can see it. Strangely it spawned in a miscalculated way ( don't know if it's intended) and generated an hole in the asteroid.

So said, i'm a bit disappointed with the new asteroids difficulty.

Playing on the hot world (can't remember the name) which should be one of the highest difficulties, rolling "volcanoes" and "miscalculated pod" on purpose and yet all was needed is a couple of insulation patches but the game plan haven't really changed from the "classic" version of the asteroid.

Honestly i'm start to think that abyssalite is bad for the game.having all the biomes self contained doesn't allow for any input from the game to the player. The player decide it's own speed and after you get to understand basic tricks to generate oxygen and food it feels a bit tedious and not stimulating.

I do agree there's the need to use abyssalite to grant some areas like the starting zone but at the moment is probably a bit "abused" in terms of biome sepration.

this of course is always my opinion, maybe if some else tried the world and feels to share it's experience. Not long ago i've seen another post related to abyssalite and i think i'm starting to see the point.

Probably the best solution is to let player decide in the world generation to not have it at all ( allowing for some replacement material for the space insulation )

Considering very little unrevealed terrain actual has calculations run, it really doesn't make much of a difference.

I will proceed the run, maybe i will change opinion, but i see it hardly happen.

Now that the heat is closed and i have water and food the game is over. Is just a matter of time.

Setup hatch farm for power and slowly make your way one biome at time taking what you need to make all the subsystems required to get into space. No more inputs that can ruins my plans.
