Plenty of 'em. They are awesome. Diamonds and... polluted water right next to the spawn

Well, they are really awesome still in contrary to boulders...

unless they contain Neutronium.

Now if ya like to, I can dig up some more precise info since I already got the file open~

Might as wel, if you want to explore yourself and don't want spoilers, don't click it, obviously

Geodes are surrounded by Obsidian and possibly contain Diamond in the shell as well

10 Geodes should be created with the trait active, should, not will be, POI or other stuff may overwrite it for all I know

i just made a world with no boulders, but with geodes, and found this:

maybeangeode.thumb.PNG.b3718fe2226980a55e55ac7d48945932.PNG

so thought this was a geode, and the buried objekt in the middle was the rare stuff in it.

but after seeing what you write, i have become really confused

would appriciate a picture of a geode

Yes it is geode. In all my generated new worlds with geodes I have similar obsidian huge area with rare things inside.

Nah, that's a boulder, it appears that the display of traits is bugged and does not fit the generation. Sadfy it appears that I could not save my diamonds with polluted water but here is a collection of "Some may call this trash, me I call it treasure... or also trash"

Hmm kinda weird, because I never had something like you. But always I trying to creating world with geodes and only have huge obsidian aggregation. Maybe just unlucky genereted worlds then.

From what I've heard from a couple other forums users that typically know what they're talking about, the only way to get world trait changes to actually stick is to go into customize and change the seed. Looks like clicking on the planet just changes the display and not the actual world generation...

Geodes (derived from the Greek word "γεώδης" meaning "Earth like") are geological secondary formation within sedimentary and volcanic rocks. Geodes are hollow, vaguely circular rocks, in which masses of mineral matter (which may include crystals) are secluded.
