The Odd Skeleton?

Recommended Posts

I can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet!?! Alright now into speculation.

I really hope that the odd skeleton has some sort of effect on the island! Maybe it would even become a “new” boss! I know that some people are gonna say,”It can’t survive while being that far away from the ancient gateway” but what if it was able to by drawing power from a different source? What if the lunar energy was powerful enough to keep the skeleton alive while being away from the gateway? What if it can?

It'd be neat.

As always I’d like to hear your speculations and ideas.

Something ought to give. But I can't imagine anything else other than it dies even faster due to exposure.

The metheus puzzle heavily implies odd skeleton is one of two rulers of the ancients doens't it? Presumably the one that had dark thorny imagery overwhelm the city. Meanwhile the other was seen struggling with the white light that's presumably the same sources we experience on the lunar islands.

With that said, what if summoning odd skeleton acted more like "bait" to "lure out" the other ruler of the ancients. Less Klei got better plans in mind

It seems very unlikely. We see the ancients in the murals, and their body shapes do not match up to the fuel weaver. They seem to be more along the lines of arthropods. In addition to this, we see a skull once in the mural that looks awfully similar to the fuel weaver. None of the other skulls depicted look like that. So it seems like the fuel weaver was connected to the ancients in some way, but wasn't one of them.

Mmmh I get what @Cosheeta is trying to say. While the the skeleton doesn't match with the body of Ancient it could be the Shadow Atrium can belong to one of the rulers. In my interpretation of the murals the 2 rulers are weavers. I believe their ability to create energy made them leaders to the Ancients.

I cannot really say whom the heart belongs to. Maxwell's quotes about the shadow atrium ("A pulse of malice and betray beats within") and the murals could show that Maxwell is aware of the the analogy between the Ancients and him and Charlie. Maybe the heart of the torch wielder was corrupted into a dark one like Charlie changed into the grue...

What I said about both rulers were weavers: If we look at the first mural we see dark energy and light energy. It's kinda implied that living matter was thrown in the gate and energy comes out. We can see some withered plants and fish bones (?) on the ground. So there might be a opposide of NF. Maybe it has to do something to the moon.

That's true, it has been bothering me since other things would match up, but there is a pretty obvious discrepancy on the bone structure itself
