steelbite
Is it somehow possible to recover save files that have been overridden? I used the auto save function for most of my playthrough but I definetly did also save it seperately. After starting a new world and playing for a few hours all of my past saves have been reset. It still shows them but it says 0 cycles survived and 3 duplicants. I have a few older saves from 2017 that seem to be completely untouched and still fine but the ones from this month are all gone. Gurgel
That is a general data recovery question. You can try the standard tools to recover the files. They should not have been overwritten directly, but deleted and then created freshly. On Windows file-systems that means they stay intact for a while. If you are lucky. When you rename a save / create a new one and you don't load your old game (from where you saved fresh one), then you play on the new save. The last save from the game should exist(where you saved the new one from).
blash365
If you are lucky, you still have the standard windows-file-recovery activated. In that case, you can go to your savegame folder and restore files from its history.
SharraShimada
Look at your save folder, if the files are there. If so, move them to a save place, and copy back only the save you want, and try to load it. If they are not there... i dont think you´re able to recover any files after some time. On an SSD ist impossible without professional help (serveral 10k$). On a harddrive... not impossible, if the sectors are not overwritten yet. But is it worth the efford, and the money for good recovery tools? The best solution to such things: Backups. Nothing replaces a backup, but another backup.
