Alec Redfox
If I create a new world in the beta, will I lose the world when the beta is over?

ShadowDuelist
What happens in beta stays in beta. 32 minutes ago, trinket_4 said: yes
X-lem
To give more clarification on why, it's because the beta currently uses a different folder path for storing game info (save slots, some mod info, skin prefs, etc). When the beta no longer exists it will revert to the original folder path. Mind you your files will still be there in the old path location. It might be possible to drag the save folder from the beta folder into the main folder. Not sure if it would load at all. There most likely would be bugs that can only be fixed by regenerating the world, so you'd have to live with those.

I did that back when the ANR beta ended without any issue. Although the bugs should be fairly minor. It depends on if they add anything else to worldgen with retrofitting. And even then it's usually fine. It should be functional, but might look a little different then how it's naturally generated.
