lonelysquirrel
Meep is selected in the bottle left. He's idle. His priorities tab has him on a very high priority for Operate. The Metal Refinery nearby is enabled. The Exosuit checkpoint between is operational, has power and air. Not shown, but I've also checked: Meep has permission to move through the door (though the dupes not living in this block do not). His "Show Navigation" allows him to move to the Metal Refinery. Any ideas?
metallichydra
the metal refinery needs power someone forgot to build this but meep should build it, right? unless someone else is doing it right now. the other metal refinery ...
lonelysquirrel
Doh! Thank you. The missing power icon was missing, and I had recently reworked that circuit.

How've you set this up? I know I've had issues before (although I can't remember what they were) when trying to set up something to deny permission by default and only allowing it to a select few. I changed the allowed direction on the Mechanized Airlock. Default is that everyone can leave the block. The 3 duplicants assigned the bed and mess tables have both directions activated. I also have a 4th exosuit dock for visitors, and the gofer/plumber is allowed in and out as well. He fixes the pipes and delivers meals in bulk as there's no kitchen in the apartment. This is the first time I am doing something like this, and I'm seeing how it works to prevent the "long travel times" and solve the logistics issues with travel to the oil biome. Now I'm definitely confused, because the other refinery is not on the circuit with the missing wire -- it is wired directly up. The left refinery is on the same circuit as the autosweeper, which apparently also has power. In any case, now that the save has reloaded, and the missing wire is built, Meep's operating the refinery just fine. It might have been a save reload thing, might have been a visual bug about a missing wire, but in any case I can't reproduce the issue anymore. SharraShimada
Try to remove the work task from the refinery and set i again. I run into this now and then too. The refinery just stops. It has everything but the work errand is not triggered anymore. It happens with infinity work errands very often. Another thing you can check is the piping of the refinery. If the coolant gets "confused" and backs up, the refinery stops working too.
