How to reset character in games when NOT host.?

I did search (before you ask) and only got results on how to do so if your host(very complicated process using console which is just silly)

 

so is it possible, and if so, HOW do u simply delete / reset /change /whatever a character, as a NON HOST, and without harassing the host(if u can even find him)?

 

I get that items and stuff will vanish, which is kind of the idea when you 'delete' something, I'm ok with that

Upgrade the florid posters using the celestial stone, craft a moon idol and present it to the portal. Voila you can now change your character to whoever you like with in game mechanics.

Maybe I have to explain. I cannot res. There are no touchstones (I've explored for about 4 hours as a ghost now, so fun) -

 

basically for any server its join, die inside 15min, wander forever as ghost.

 

So. when dead. How do u reset character? And if the only way is to 'live' long enough to craft some item to do it first, what dolt thought THAT was a good idea?

 

I get that death = loss of items (they drop wherever) but this is just plain stupid.

There's always touchstones in a given world unless the host removed them. No way you explored for 4 hours and found nothing.

That's how it is, you need to be alive to use the Moon Portal. 

Keep looking for a touch stone, or ask for someone to rev you.

Check if the server is in “Endless” mode. Endless mode makes it so you can revive at the Florid Postern whenever you feel like (with a health penalty, of course.) or simply ask someone to revive with a tell tale heart. You can also just, you know, leave the server and join another one/host your own.

Not sure.. its the klei official server 'clayfish was here'(I think) - and your right, I lied, I only was dead for 3hours not 4. my bad. Sorry. Launched game, landed in middle of winter and died of cold before i could find anything to make a fire from/with.

 

I checked wiki for what touch stones look like, but haven't seen any on map (what is cleared out anyways) my ghost does not clear out map (it stays black so only what is uncovered when I joined is viewable) and I've not crossed over / past / near any since. I asked many times ingame, but same response 'DERP USE TOUCHSTONE NUB' with no help on where one is (even if asked)

 

Really getting the similar vibe of when I got ONI = learn everything about the game and play it for hundreds of hours before u DARE ask for any help.

why did you join in the middle of winter exactly?

and dude, we're literally giving you the only response possible, and that's use a touchstone. you should be able to find one.

if you join a server then look which season it is. winter and summer are very hard. spring its all the time raining. so best for you as new player is go to a new server and only join in autunum,

best would be just host your own server and learn the game a bit.

or join public server but tell the other players you are new and need help
