goboking Posted May 29, 2019 Share Posted May 29, 2019 It would be convenient if dupes used a room containing an functioning water cooler as a place to idle. The benefits of this are obvious: we get to keep them in a well-oxygenated room with plenty of decor. Plus it's more immersive (for those of us who care about such things) to see our idle dupes hanging out in a designated break room rather than standing around in a chlorine pit. So idle dupes could use a similar code and just go to a recreation area they normally go during downtime. Actually now that i think about it maybe idle dupes could go eat earlier if they are hungry instead of idling until the break. Nightinggale Posted May 29, 2019 Share Posted May 29, 2019 Yeah make the dupes go to a place of your choice when they idle, but they should still be idle while moving in the sense that they can cancel going there should a valid task appear while enroute. It would be an efficiency hug if they have to arrive at the water cooler before looking for new tasks to perform.
