01Kate10
If my dupes are half way through showering and bedtime hits, they don't complete their shower, thereby having used some clean water up but not gotten rid of the grimy buff. Could requiring them to finish showering before bed be an option under the priorities option menu please?
Sasza22
The easiest way is to add an extra block of downtime before bed. But it wouldn`t hurt if it was a task similar to dancing so it wouldn`t get interrupted by the schedule.
SharraShimada
You should adjust your schedule. and/or pathing. Either more bathing-time or shorter ways from your recreation to the shower. If you have work > bathing, there´s your problem. Bathing-time hits, and dupes will have to walk all the way, from the current positio, to the shower. Walking takes most of your shower-time, and so there is not enough time left. I usaually let my dupes shower after bedtime. So they are near the shower already, and they start fresh into work shift. 01Kate10
I don't like the idea of my dupes going to bed grimy. I know that it doesn't actually affect the beds ... perhaps it should (hint hint devs). I don't use bathtime, just downtime. For now I'm doing as Sasza22 suggested and adding a block of downtime AFTER as well as before bedtime but usually all that happens is they eat some more. I like to keep the downtime general instead of specific for the morale buff. I've got the schedule set up so that my night owl can have co-ordinated downtime with my regular dupes so as to be able to socialise if they have leftover downtime after they've eaten, pooped and showered. So at least one group (night owl vs default) has to have the downtime scheduled either before or after their bedtime. ...I suppose I could just put everyone on the Night Owl's schedule ... I mean afaik there isn't any debuff if they sleep during the day instead of the night.

That`s weird. It never happened to me. Dupes always eat similar amounts. I never had them eat more. They would rather spend more time in the recreation room chilling or dancing. Anyway i forgot showering takes place during bathtime now. Placing some bathtime before downtime will make the dupoes shower before eating but still work if they don`t need it or if showers are occupied. WalterMatthau
Check out my Micromanaged Apartments Dupes sh*t and shower first thing in the morning, in lieu of a sink, and come back to finish the shower after breakfast, but before social time. WanderingKid
In this regards, dupes will always wake up without the showered buff. You need to shower after bedtime to re-assign the buff. The showered buff is removed when a dupe splashes through anything that isn't clean H2O or when they wake up. Try to avoid showering until they've slept through the night if you're looking to save time.
