victo613
Let me start with the fact that I love these games and I own Don't starve and DST on multiple platforms including MAC on Steam, PS4, Switch (obviously on switch DST excluded) and I gathered some of my thoughts on how Klei could improve console versions, because honestly I think the console versions are handled as inferiors. Lagg This is my biggest concern ATM. When playing DST the response time of the game client is considerably longer even when I play offline compared to regular DS. This gets even worst when you play DST with friends. I think there are countless threads about this already, please fix it! Mods Mods on PC/MAC are awesome and a huge number of players miss these on consoles. I understand that the modding ecosystem on consoles is much more difficult, but please consider adding a few of the most popular mods to console versions too as features which the gamers can turn on and off as they please! Updates Now here I completely understand that PC/MAC players get the beta, it's much easier. What I don't like is the fact that the final versions of updates and new games take ages to be ported to consoles. It's a pretty huge market with much higher prices than, act like it. Cross platform features I'm not talking about cross play here, but what if I could connect my different accounts to Klei (PSN, XBox, Nintendo, etc...) and get all the unlocked items/characters and DLCs instead of having to do.purchase the same stuff per platform. All and all I play DS(T) a lot and I won't abandon it any time soon, but what if these things - or at least a few of these - were fixed/added. The console users would be really happy I guess. PSV_USA
I actually was hoping this same thing, especially where lag and mods are concerned. My family play on PS4 every evening, and we love the game, it's concept, it's unique look, and it's challenge...but all those things we love about it become lost when we have a really bad glitchy evening (mostly due to lag). I will be the first to admit I have NO idea what all goes into making a game nor what kind of expense, man hours, or monitoring has to go into these games to make them work properly, so my opinions are just thoughts from a consumer stand point. Maybe what I would like to see isn't even possible due to technical limitations or time constraints. I don't know. With that said... It DOES feel like the PC version is given much more priority and attention. I understand the PC version has the largest player base; however, this does not change the fact that console players purchase the game and it's extras (same as everyone else) with the expectation that their purchase will be acknowledged just as much as any other customer, PC or otherwise. If you choose to port a game from PC to console and grab those sales, be prepared to service and maintain that title as diligently as you do for PC users. Our money is as real as theirs so our experience should be as good. I have to say, Klei has been wonderful in responding to and helping me solve issues with the game when I have had to contact them, so I will never say they don't try. I think they try very hard to make the best game they can, and seem to love what they do. It almost feels, though, like their success is also their burden. Like maybe they are trying to handle something they did not expect to grow so fast? I don't know...it's just how it feels to me. Anyway, I do wish more love was given to console versions and that some of the more useful (but not game altering) mods were worked into the game, such as being able to see your enemy's health while battling them. Sometimes I come up against an enemy and it seems like nothing I am doing is making any difference, so without seeing their health stats I can't gauge if I need to switch tactics or continue to fight because I don't see any indication that I am making any headway. Also, I find the inventory slot navigation tricky, especially in emergency situations. I can see the item I need but can't seem to get there fast enough or without passing over it a couple of times lol. All in all, I love Klei and everything they've brought to the table with their fantastic concepts and creative content...I would simply like to see the console version get some polishing and maybe those more useful mods included in game play. None of those "why are you even playing this game, you've made it so easy" mods
JDiceArt777
I agree 100%....but I'm sure this post will go "unread" by Klei.... I just really want geo placement....
Rogueagent01
Geo placement would make everything about the console edition better, setups for bosses wouldn't take as long to build and require less resources since you wouldn't have to hammer down the pieces that aren't in the right location. And then bases my god the amount of time and frustration that mod would save. If only one mod could be implemented that is the one i vote for. I'm no developer, but I would hope it would be simple to add. For example...when you switch over to 'build' or 'plant' mode, the D-pad would be good to move the items 1 space in either direction. Simple, right?
Dynamix_Roxx
All I ever wanted was equality between PC and console. Release dates, content, patches. Even the Funko pops are PC only, yet all the skins exist on console.

I don't think Klei has actually addressed the common, general lag issues yet, even though it's pissing a lot of people off. Hopefully that will eventually be changed. DidUReboot
Fixing lag won’t generate additional revenue, or be of benefit to pc players, so it’s probably a permanent issue for us console players. Zero thoughts were given to the new characters requiring online play, which forces someone to have to spend monthly on ps plus or xbox live. If they’re not concerned about new features and how they operate on consoles, they certainly don’t care about fixing existing issues like lag. Unfortunate. No offense honestly, I get what you're saying, but I think that this attitude is not going to take us anywhere. I'd like to believe that these post are read by Klei eventually and I also hope that there are plans to fix these issues since they try to make this game more and more popular on consoles too, especially since they added DLCs. Sure dude, nothing personal taken I’m just sick of them, but let’s watch what a positive attitude accomplishes with this company. I’m sure that won’t lead to more of the same. I’ve spoke to the devs for over a year about lag and was told “it was really hard to figure out” and “extremely specific in nature and wasn’t impacting that many people”, They have also “tried real hard to replicate lag and can’t”. Devs stopped replying when asked if they took their troubleshooting off their tools and plugged in a console just to witness it firsthand but sure, let’s get all sorts of positive up in here. Mikessnow
Had to laugh when the first point is lag and then the second mods.
