Webber & Wormwood synergy

Recommended Posts

Perhaps they'll balance Wormwood's Living Log Production, just 1 kill per Living Log feels way tooooo easy.

(He might need other ressources or get a health penalty for every Living Log he creates => Booster Shots & Health for Living Logs)

well, he do still have his really big drawback of not being able to heal with food.

compare wormwood to the other characters:

Wickerbottom:

can mass-produce:

  • grass
  • twigs
  • berries

drawback:

  • cant sleep
  • don't like stale food

webber:

can mass-produce:

  • monstermeat
  • silk
  • spider glands

drawback:

  • can't befriend pigs, bunnymen or catcoons.

(well, he can actually befriend pigs, but this requires a one-man-band)

wormwood:

can mass-produce:

  • living logs

drawback:

  • can't heal with food
  • catches fire easy
  • looses sanity when digging plants and such (but some players might consider this a good thing)

is he really that good?

You forgot the insane amounts of food he can accumulate when planting seeds in the ground, no farms required. I'd say he's pretty worth using in conjunction with a Wickerbottom and Wortox to instantly grow the crops, and instantly heal Wormwood when he crafts living logs.
On top of that, he's one of the best sanity management characters because of how easily you can go insane and instantly become sane again with just a stack of seeds to plant.

He's designed as a fun challenge character in singleplayer, but through multiplayer most of his drawbacks are nullified.

His farming skills could be nerfed a bit if he'll be forced to use a hoe on the ground before planting seeds (similar to The Gorge) and only on farming turf perhaps.

he still need other players who are willing to be Wickerbottom or wortox.

and other character's drawbacks are also nullified: webber, well, you can't farm pigs, but other players can (and to nullify this drawback, you dont need other players to be a specific character, as long as its not a wortox).

Wolfgangs drawback can also be easily nullified by a webber

I think wormwood's sleeping will be nerfed as to only gaining sanity ( no health ) because unlike in singleplayer sleeping is over-time regeneration...

In my opinion he should be able to heal by sleeping, otherwise he will have very very limited options to actually heal.

If he retains the catching fire issue and not healing with food, he will still be a challenge character, despite being easier than his DS counterpart, he is still going to be somewhat harder than the other DST characters.

As a side note its also worth mentioning his perk of being neutral to eyeplants, his special armor and trap (which I hope on DST they get buffed accordingly), and the fact that he is as fast as an overcharged WX throughout all spring.

I feel he will prove to be a great addition to any team, supplying dragonpies, living logs, armor and traps.
