Can I use commands to summon a Monkey Barrel that does not summon Splumonkeys?

Isn't child just a programming term?

The "parent" Splumonkey exists, and any changes to it will affect all "child" splumonkeys, but not vice versa. So the Childspawner creates children of the parent in the world, which can be killed/frozen/deleted while the basis for the children is not affected?
