antieXo
Just an idea, you may or may not have already considered. For instance: I have an airflow block, and it is yellow, and it is made of copper. HowEVER COMMA WHAT IF IT WERE MADE OF IRON AND IT WERE BLUE. WHOA MIND BLOWN* lol Seriously though, that's all I've got, but it can apply across different schemas as well.
Sasza22
There`s a mod that changes the appearance of tiles and buildings based on th material used.
goboking
Personally, I'd rather not be forced into choosing between optimal properties and pleasing aesthetics.
ONIfreak
This should be an overlay
Player 2
seems like a great idea, maybe a shade gradient to be added to some materials under pure shade, radiating from a light source, it would give more depth and eye candy to the game! but other that that good Idea :]
Etiam
@antieXo @ONIfreak @Player 2 Just use my mod (MaterialColor) like @Sasza22 said ;D It does exactly what OP suggested and is toggle-able like an overlay. Though it applies color to the buildings too.
SharraShimada
As much as i like mods, and as much as i seen, your mod would do this perfectly (thanks btw), i do not want to mod ONI at this point of development. First every mod may break with a patch, causing problems with the game. Second i want to participate in bug hunting and make suggestions. And at this point its not good to use third-party files, that may causing the bug itselt.

If the mod breaks with the patch you can remove that mod, its easy - remove the Mods directory or a single mod from within. Same to the bug-hunting, just saying ;D

When i start modding, i want it all ^^
