luqiang2014
This is when a pigman guard becomes panic and he will say "Avast! Avail!", we guess "Avast!" means "stop" or "freeze", but we have no idea what is "Avail", so does anyone know what is the idea of this line? We would be very grateful if you can give us some help. The 2C3D
Googled it. In this case I'm 98% sure it means "Help!"
MagicManICT
Found this little gem: https://www.shakespeareswords.com/Public/Glossary.aspx Not much help from what other sources give on this, though. I'm not quite sure it would translate into "Help." It would be more inline with the literal translation "Halt! I will take advantage of you!" Given it's a guard, a modern version might be, "Stop! You are under arrest!"
