teflon_gran
I can't seem to get the rooms near space to cool down properly, I add dry wall and tiles, after 20 cycles it's 100 degrees. What should I do to cool this area down? Very frustrating that I can't make steam in the top left room, but everything else is TOO HOT. tzionut
First create a long wall (isolated or not you decide), under it vacuum whitout walls tile, then another wall. Then pump some hydrogen in the AETN. Replace the oxygen whit the hydrogen atmosphere at wizz and AETN for better cooling (over 2 kg / tile) Short answer. Your base is a mess Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97368-how-to-insulate-space-exposed-rooms/#findComment-1102265 Share on other sites
SamLogan
The heat is from the regolith on your roof. So : 1. Sweep all the regolith on your roof. 2. Unconstruct your hot roof and let the hot gaz leave in the space. 3. Construct a new roof (don't need to be insulated) and add a second roof above the first one separated by a tile of space where the regolith can stay without heat your room. Mariilyn
- Vacuum separation between the top layer where the regolith accumulate and the rooms you want to cool down. - Don't forget to sweep all the hot regolith inside those rooms because it's heating the floor. I can see many hot regolith piles nearby the wheezeworts. - I suggest you build the telescope on mesh tiles because to my knowledge they won't transfer the heat from the nearby bunker tiles to the telescope. greggbert
Hmm. My dupes wear suits for everything near the surface and all my rooms near the surface are filled with hydrogen with wheezed cooling. Game would be so much easier if dupes just breathed hydrogen, lol. teflon_gran
It's going to take ages to cool down the room using the AETN but it's working Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/97368-how-to-insulate-space-exposed-rooms/#findComment-1102731 Share on other sites

What is your gas pressure? without any air in those rooms, the heat isn't going to go anywhere.
