Skaidrojumi
I'm looking to put excess hatches into water so that I can get meat from them. The critter drop off doesn't work when submerged in water though. I was thinking of having them place excess ones on a door that opens when weight is placed on it, but I can't figure this out. Any ideas on how this can be accomplished (either trap door or some other idea)? Soulwind
You used to be able to use horizontal doors and a timer to open them and drop the critters into a pool. Haven't done it in a while so I'mbit sure if that's been changed or not. Another method is to use a door pump to push water out of a pool and fill the room, then letting the water drain out after they all drown. Neotuck
Best method I have seen is drop the eggs in a room with a mesh floor above water Using a pressure plate with buffer activate doors under the water to raise the water lvl up and drown any hatchlings that walk over the pressure plate Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/96088-trap-doors/#findComment-1089980 Share on other sites
Coolthulhu
Trap doors don't work - hatches will just walk on open doors. You need to pump the water up. Hatches take a while to drown (1/4 of a cycle or so). Skaidrojumi
I couldn't figure out how to do it automated, however I was able to build a critter dropoff on a closed door that opens when I flip a switch (so automated, but not automatic). So now I just flip the switch whenever I see a few hatches in there and it works great!
