So what should I do with all this stuff?

Recommended Posts

Well... I have the opposite of a problem. I've got:

A Volcano

A Water geyser

and two cool slush geysers

Now the Volcano I know I can use it to melt stuff. the Water geyser is pretty much my oxygen source and is running 3 electrolyzers, and I'm using pretty much 1/10th of one of my slush geysers to regulate the heat inside my base. so I ask y'all what can I do with all this stuff?

Random ideas, use the pwater to condense your cool steam vents output, use your volcano to turn oil into petroleum and use the pwater to cool it down to acceptable temperature, use the heated pwater to irrigate pinchas. I'd just try some stuff :p

What's your map seed btw ? It looks pretty interesting.

Pwater > water seive > regnolith/sand > Pdirt > dirt

- now you get unlimited dirt

dirt > hatch > meat > coal

- now you get unlimited coal and meat

coal > refined coal for steel

coal > generator > CO2 > carbon skimmer > Pwater

- now you get more power.

And Pwater again? Karma is a b*tch.

If u ever got bored you could let all that lava pour out the bottom and watch the carnage

But that's just a regular weekly activity in my colony.

Petroleum from The volcano. Increase dupe count to 100 to use The Oxygen.

1. But how tho? Most of the petroleum cooker I've seen go straight to Sour Gas and manage the heat of the gas itself, and I don't know how to make sure to cook the oil and make it not go sour. I want sweet petroleum, not sour gas (gottem)

2. My CPU says no.

Nope, that's a recent seed. the second slush is way down, near the oil biome, to the left corner of the map. And the first slush is on the right side, near the printing pod

I rechecked and there's no 2nd slush geyser, no water geyser either. There is a volcano but with different properties than yours.

It's still a good seed btw, just not the same as yours.

R9MX has The brilliant idea of making an inefficient heat exchanger, then Having The petroleum bubble out.

You can expand on that For your own build.

2 hydro sensors is a good first step For building your automation logic.

The automation senses liquid on 2 tiles, modes:

1: False, false = no liquid - > add liquid

2: False, true = bottom tile oil. -> add heat

3: True, true = top petroleum, bottom oil. -> stop adding heat, wait until 1 or 2
