need a pressure release valve

Recommended Posts

On what specifically?

the game does not use adiabatic physics, no pressure increase with temp increase, each are separate vectors, here pressure is more accurately molecular weight, as well most of the dupes machinery seem to be operating at or near molecular super efficiency...

food stuff is the biggest aspect that needs something like this just like temp control regulators. i have played games where just the starting area couldnt grow millwood. temp to hot and nothing but death. sad you cant even get started and no ice biome near you. i even started surrounded next to space surrounding 3 sides and magma on another. just death from above

Strating area starts at 21oC. It takes a while for it to get above 30o. I`m guessing you put your farm close to the edge of the biome where the temperature gets higher. Generally you want your farms in the middle and far from heat generating buildings like batteries and deoxydisers in the earlygame.

That`s weird. Do you have a screenshot? Or at least the worldgen seed? Most maps have the staring biome surrounded by caustic(chlorine/phosphorite) and swamp(slime) biomes and ice biomes not touching the staring zone but usually just one biome away. What you described seems like a bug in the world generation.

The only instance I can think of when we can think of a pressure release valve is when a fluid in a pipe reaches boiling point and cracks the pipe.  Some kind of special attachment (that looks just like a steam whistle) might be a way to avoid this cracking and it would make for an alternative way to build a boiler.

This is super weird. I have never had the game to generate a world like this. I`ve seen some bugs in old versions where a magma biome appeared on top of the map but never next to your starting biome. Space should be well far above. It looks like the worldgen was drunk and mixed up all the biomes. This is definetly something that should be reported as a bug (with the saved game attacked).

Does this happen consistently with every game start? Did you use custom worldgen seeds? Like this should never happen to the point i`m thinking you should reinstall the game beacause something in the files got broken.

lol

those pictures are actually truly bizarre. I've never seen anything like that. That's totally not right. I'm glad it fixed itself on restart. that save file may have some useful info in it for the devs...hooah?
