Jobs completed only with sub-priority in expressive update

Recommended Posts

After expressive update most jobs required priority to complete.

Build something? Builders with "build" priority are way too busy with hauling dirt.

Dig something? Diggers with max priority are harvesting some plants.

To do something I have to set sub-priority to 7 or 9, only then dupes start to do something. Otherwise they are largely ignoring their profile tasks.

Ranching priority set to maximum - no effect, rancher running around. Grooming station set sub-priority to 6 - rancher goes there to perform some grooming.

Top right corner of the jobs window there is a tick about "advanced settings"... make sure it's un-ticked, so the dupes stick strictly to their priority/subpriority + distance queue.

Otherwise you might be using some "smart and hidden" ordering that the devs came up with and that is messing up your logic. Apart from that and some tasks having no priority column(e.g. equip suit or change clothes).

P.S. that was the case in cosmic, not sure if it's the same in the latest update though.

That's backwards. With it ticked the dupes will strictly prioritize their highest priorities, with it unticked is when it uses the hidden priorities.
