Screen Overlay to Show What Materials Are Used on the Constructed Tiles, Liquid Pipes, Gas Pipes, etc.

Would really help a lot for checking:

• if you didn't notice you were already using a different material instead of a specific material
• checking the gaps on your base if you need abysallite outer wall
• checking granite/wolframite/abysallite liquid or gas pipes for temperature control
• etc.

I think this would be nice, maybe not as an overlay though on its own, but integrated with the other overlays.

Otherwise it would show everything at the same time. so if you go to piping overlay it shows all the pipes and what they are made of, kind of like how all three types are seen differently.

I agree Blue Lance, better way is to think of it as a modifier for OTHER overlays, like the application of multiple filters.

If your in say electric overlay you see all your wiring with current level (white, yellow, red), but you activate materials and now you see the wires and power-plants in colors that show the material it is made from.  When viewing ventilation is dose the same.

 

P.S.  jhepong, don't use every single tag you can think of when making a thread.  Overlay and materials would have been more to the point.
