yeah I also wanted to avoid those previously but they may be better now.

I'm in the 300's and still don't have any real energy transition past hydrogen/coal.  I've been focusing on trying to do space stuff with solar panels.  I would have had a boiler by now.  That would give me a little co2.

What about natural gas?

or..

I got a map without CO2 fumaroles and found out that a single Petroleum Generator makes enough CO2 to feed over 20 slickers. However I had to have the slickter stable very down the map, which made the grooming process really long, even with transit tubes. But with 3 stables and a oil geyser working I never ran out of crude oil or petroleum.

Fixed with the changes to the generator.  Not as bad but still bad:

Petroleum generators are still bad.  Still very very bad.

1 petroleum generator

-2000petrol

+500co2

+750ph20

+2000watt

Turn all of that in to natural gas for the nerfed natural gas generators:

2000/90 = 22.222

So we'll round down to 22 natural gas generators

-1980n.gas

+495co2

+1485ph20

+17600watt

Both of these values require a boiler.  Otherwise you have to double the crude cost of the petroleum generator with a refinery.

3000/90 = 33.333

So we'll round down to 33 natural gas generators

-2970n.gas

+742.5co2

+2227.5ph20

+26400watt

This was changed in the Cosmic update

The petroleum generators need 2000g/s petroleum for 2000 W

Better than before but still not as effective as natural gas gens
