Critter breeding

Recommended Posts

Since this is up I have a question: When I want to maintain a certain number of critters in a ranch, lets say I want it to have 3 hatches more or less constnatly, do I have to manage that den beyound feeding the critters? Will the overcrowded debuff, the reproduction rate and the max age naturally balance out to the max number when the critters are constantly fed and groomed? Edit: I'am not planning to remove any eggs.

Ok but if you remove all the eggs then the breeding population won't sustain itself right?

Here my way to do for an hatchs farm : simply droping 8 eggs each 100 cycles and disable any others automation plus blocking the access door for 20 cycles, time for all eggs to passively bloom. So yeah this room is actually working 100 cycles on a complete 120 cycles.
But I avoid using Incubator until you cant add a repeat order on it and simply cancel this order with automation.

edit : IM A GOOD MATHEMATICIAN okay?? But you get the idea ahah

Very clever

The stable buff only matters for initial domestication right?  After that there is no real reason to keep them in such a small room

Problem i meet here is if an hatch born in this room he still stuck by any sort of doors (maybe its only a bug?) so i builded it in a water pool to kill hatchling and use an arm on automation cutting power to drop egg where i want instead
