Wild critters laying eggs.

Recommended Posts

Wild Critters lay eggs. They also hatch on their own if you don't do anything with them. I left a Hatch egg alone and after 10-20 Cycles there was a Hatchling. I've also had a few Shine Bugs hatch.

I have a Prince Puft egg I want to get to, but I don't have Exo-Suits reseached yet. :(

As long as they don't die I'll have tons of critters before I've built a place for them. :)

They now have a maximum lifespan regardless of how well they are cared for.  This and the wild egg laying are calibrated to ensure that wild populations are stable in the long term.

I'm finding eggs laid by wild critters laying around and unless I missed something during the last devcast, this shouldn't be the case correct? So far I have pacu, shinebugs and pufts laying eggs while in the wild, including the variant eggs. Anyone else noticed this?

It was said on the last dev cast, that wild critters are laying eggs. For the very reason @PhailRaptor has stated.

Ah, ok. I figured there was a decent chance that I just missed it. Better to check first than assume bug ;)
