chemie
So with a bank of regular batteries and a single smart battery to trigger generators, the silly "smart" battery charges on current and not % so the large regular batteries only get to 50% when the logic is trigger! Why can't smart batteries charge 50% slower so it can match the capacity of the regular? Any way to work around other than a delay circuit? Lifegrow
Large batteries hold twice as much charge as smart batteries. After learning how much heat standard batteries output (in energy) I've stopped using standard batteries altogether. Any way to work around other than a delay circuit? you can set up a logic circuit to fully charge large batteries Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87749-smart-batteries-not-so-smart/#findComment-1005698 Share on other sites

Smart batteries are so much better in every way - and we don't need HUGE power storage any more as automation resolved that. Next time you get a second - compare the heat/power loss of the two bigger batteries... I was amazed at the difference. Also, connect a single piece of automation wire behind the ones you dont intend to use automation on and you can get rid of the annoying red symbol Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87749-smart-batteries-not-so-smart/#findComment-1005716 Share on other sites

Only the worthy can read it. Spoiler Generator -> smart battery -> transformers -> large batteries. That way, the large batteries will fill up first. I prefer my battery bank in front of transformers (mostly for temp management) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87749-smart-batteries-not-so-smart/#findComment-1005721 Share on other sites

Edit: Yah, you are right....seems I was still in old game thinking. A small bank of smart work very well with gens topping them off....just need to make sure enough excess gen capacity for any big changes in demand.... Lutzkhie
smartybatts are very efficient, low runoff energy and heat easy to cool down by heat transfering Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87749-smart-batteries-not-so-smart/#findComment-1005791 Share on other sites
