Earlier we had to do cooling making long water tubes, this was solved with tempshift plate introduced, now you want more? Do you really wanna your wheezes heated up more than they cool? Btw, you can use diamond for tempshift -highest conductivity.

Pipes exchange temprerature with liqiud and outer world. Tempshift plates increase speed at which liquid pipes exchange temperature with world. So ending liquid exchanging heat nearly directly with world with some temperature difference. With higher temal conductivity difference btween temperatures will decrease, down to few degrees, so it will not matter that much to you..

you are saying than using this kind of radiator block is exactly the same as using tempshift plate behind a regular pipe? (with good material used) in this case yes this would be useless or redundant..

Not true. At least not directly.

Tempshift plates do not interact with pipes. They can only transfer heat to/from things that occupy the entire tile: gases, liquids, solids, tiles and doors. Same for pipes. And all other buildings that don't occupy whole tiles.

Basically, there are things in the "foreground" (those that occupy all tile), then there are things in the "background" (those don't need to occupy anything). Things in the background can only interact with foreground, but not with background. Foreground can interact with both.

So if you want a good radiator, you will need to run pipes through tiles (plastic is best, unless you need heat above 70C), then build plates next to those tiles.
