SydMarch
I was wondering how much health regen fuelweaver can potentially get during the healing phase? I have hit him with 4 stacks of gun powder on a few different Attempts which should bring the damage well past 16000. I break the spires that grant invulnerability and more than enough time passes between blasts. Am I missing something?

DimWhat
Gunpowder does less damage if you use more than ten at once I think so ration out your powder. Unless you did...

That's not true. You can use a full stack of gunpowder, but once it's used, the boss gets a gunpowder resistance that will last for a while. SydMarch
Thanks Landromat. That explains it.
SydMarch
Does anyone know how the gun powder resistance mechanic works at a technical level? I know blasts have to be staggered around 10 seconds, but how strong is resistance numerically speaking, and does it stack?

Jokes appart, if you use a mod that allows you to increase stack size, lets say 99 gunpowder you can just 1 shoot the ancient (feels dirty i know), no it doesnt stack, Keep in mind that the amount of explosives required to take down any boss is still the same as long as you time them properly. This is meant to allow the ANR bosses with larger health pools to at least have some chance to transition through their intended phases. For most of the old giants, this change will most likely make no difference whatsoever. Explosive damage now negates a percentage of subsequent explosive damages. After the first explosive then a resistance is added and does not start decaying until 2 seconds have past. Over the next 8 seconds the explosive resistance decays back to 0% resistance. Any explosive damage that happens stops decay and adds the initial 2 seconds delay period. Maximum of 8,000 damage for 100% explosive resistance. This is equal to a stack of 40 gunpowder at once making 100% explosive resistance for the next 2 seconds and the decaying one for the next 8 seconds. SydMarch
Thanks. I was hoping I could just use an ungodly amount of powder to offset the resistance, but sounds like they thought of that.
