CutChemist
In my mega base world I finally got grass geckos to spawn , the only problem is they keep trying to run back to the place they spawned. I teleported them into a pen but it just looks weird with all of them just running up against the pen. Am I going to have to chase them one by one similar to goats ? Thanks Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/84148-updating-grass-gecko-spawner/ Share on other sites
Rellimarual
People often put Chester in the gecko pen so that they’re perpetually scared and lose their grass tails as soon as they grow. If they’re constantly running around and around because of that, you won’t even know they want to go back to spawn Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/84148-updating-grass-gecko-spawner/#findComment-973942 Share on other sites
cezarica
You could put a Rabbit Hutch or a Pig House instead of Chester. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/84148-updating-grass-gecko-spawner/#findComment-973998 Share on other sites

Definitely, if you’re using Chester for something else. The advantage of him is that he’s out day and night and isn’t going to attack anyone. It would be a shame to lose those hard-earned geckos to a were pig! DVGMedia
they do have the same group migration as goats do but you dont have to wait as long for them to update their new herd location(like you have to with goats). so just move the majority of the herd slowly to where you need them and they will follow. @CutChemist Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/84148-updating-grass-gecko-spawner/#findComment-974117 Share on other sites
Histekia
I put the Gekkos together with the last Goat when I killed the Rest and teleported the last one, surrounded by walls, this way they loose their tails as soon as they have been growing back Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/84148-updating-grass-gecko-spawner/#findComment-974144 Share on other sites
cezarica
@Rellimarual if the pig isn't lured by something outside the pen he will go inside his house at dusk and thus won't be turning into a Werepig. Anyway, considering the chances I think the Rabbit Hutch is the safest option, in case one would have a better use for Chester. Rellimarual
Yep. With the bunny man, you only have to worry about collecting in the daytime or when you’re not carrying meat. But I don’t usually have much use for Chester when I’m far enough along in the game to have a gecko pen. The one downside of Chester is if the server is open some newb might come along and decide they need to have him and take him out of the pen, inevitably letting the geckos out. This has happpened to us. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/84148-updating-grass-gecko-spawner/#findComment-974301 Share on other sites
