ONI is great. As a player, I really appreciate the afford you guys had put into this game. Here are some suggestion on my perspective.

Every time restart the colony, I feel a little bit dry repeating the cycle of dealing with oxygen, electricity, hygiene, carbon dioxide and etc.

It would be great to experience more DANGER and RANDOMNESS throughout the game play to keep player excited.

Thankyou!

I find it really nice game and I'd rather prefer to see some more complexity and stuff to care about than to add some monsters and random events to it.

That's a nice game for children in age of having their brain developed, let's not put some "things to kill" in it, it's already weird to have some life on an asteroid in a way, so let's not make it ugly ^^

And in space, their is so few natural events that can occur that it will be somehow unrealistic to add natural disasters... there is already plenty Duplicant's ones isn'it ?!

I made a separate thread about this, but I'd like to see more sources of injury - they need not necessarily be monsters, but things like chemical burns and frostbite would add more risk than we currently have. You have to seriously abuse your dupes to contract Heat Stroke or Hypothermia right now, and combined with how rigorously we can fight germs, it makes medicine nearly irrelevant.

That said, dangerous materials could be interesting... explosions, anyone? Maybe hydrochloric acid that eats through tiles?

I couldn't agree more. I do feel like more ways of getting injured would at least make the game feel more deep, but they don't have to be monsters that kill you. I made a post about suggested "natural disasters" including earthquakes and electromagnetic storms which could be interesting, but they really turned out to be more random events, some of which happened to be natural disasters. One of them was just your dupes throw a party and eat through a ton of your food.

Danger yes, but no randomness overdose.

Monsters blocking useful resources, more germs, less ability to remove germs completely, less free food to avoid starvation indefinitely, less ability to store food permanently at no cost, more "messy" machines (the plastic press that operates near the temperature of melting plastic is good) - those would be good.

But no pointless crap like randomly exploding batteries, electricity arcing from wires to zap nearby dupes, dupes randomly falling off ladders and breaking limbs, dupes randomly developing permanent illnesses, critters dying mysteriously, dupes suddenly refusing player's commands and doing something stupid in secret.

Hey,

I really like the concept of having some dangers in the duplicants way. It might be fun to combine certain biomes with a minor chance of finding a deadlier and bigger creature then ever seen before. something that can only be 'dealth with' by multiple duplicants fighting together. or with a liquid/gas kind of tactic to lure them away.

What i meant about randomness is something makes your strategy more diverse.

For example, the current map generation is basically predictable. There are always water, coal, copper, algae and whatever you needs in the beginning of each game. All you need to do is so straight forward for every single game. Maybe there's a challenging mode starting with a more interesting map which can deeper your strategy in each game.

I think, there should be some random events which bring changes to a game map. Like local earhquakes, strong geyser eruptions etc. But monsters? Every sandbox has them and in most cases those things are just boring. ONI is about building a colony in the middle of nowhere, and desolation is a great part of game atmosphere. Breaking it with things like monster attacks will be  a mistake.

I would like to see more danger for sure. Don't Starve had a HUGE danger ramp, and that's what I'm expecting from this game. I love games like these. I was at least a mode where I'm challenged and it's hard to keep your dupes alive. There could be a zen mode, or an easy mode that plays like it does now... but I want more. Maybe.... dark areas that I have to scan in order to see what's inside the cave. It could be a good thing (rare items/Materials?) or a bad thing (like a monster). So if I don't scan it, it's enter at my own risk. Or how everyone else is saying, where there are simply more ways to injure yourself. Maybe wires could explode when overloaded too many times. Maybe items in the base can catch on fire. I feel like the game starts at mid-tier and ends being way too easy. I'd love to see it start off more difficult, or have things added in to force me to make a medbay. At this point why even have one tbh.
