Ideas of what should be added? ONI

Recommended Posts

This topic will be a disscusion of what should be added in future updates of Oxygen Not Included. As the Oil update is currently in the works, some of my ideas have been scrapped. But still won't stop me for thinking up new stuff the Dev's could/should add. I would like to hear what everyone's thoughts are about what they took should be added and how they like other ideas (doesn't mean you can't dislike an idea but be kind).

I generally believe that a couple of things should be added that Klei hasn't put in game yet. Robots: can be made to do single tasks and won't require bio-breaks, food, or oxygen. Just power; Pneumatic Systems: an easier way to transport stuff into storage with air pressure; Industrial Grade Systems: allows for more intake of water and air through larger pumps and pipes and can be distributed by a divider (similar to heavy-watt wire and power transformer but with water and air); Fish; Genetic experimentation: allows for genetic modification and reasurection of extinct species; extinct plants and animals; domestication: allows for animals to become tame and be able to breed. Those are what I think should be added later on; thoughts or ideas?

Lol I guess you're right, albeit a smartass. I suppose I meant automatic airlock that blow out all "contaminated" or external air and pump in clean air up to a certain pressure. But this could be possible in the game I'm just a layman.

Door>Air pump>Door. Oh, look! An actual airlock is already in game.

isnt contacting 3 doors work as complete airlock? Few air will be disappeared from the world, but we have Geyser>Electrizer>Oxygen.

That still leaks heat. Two doors and a pump doesn't. Why are people obsessed with building huge power systems and then not use that power? The pump in that arrangement runs for fraction of cycle...
