If you keep reading On Tentacles, there will eventually come a point where there isn't enough space to spawn any more. That way you might be able to keep them somewhat in control. Tentacles wont spawn in smashed walls so its a perfect way to make beequeen/dragonfly farms and even hound / mctusk traps This screenshot is from Glermz's stream and his world has a tentacle beequeen farm.
