      UPDATED - Studio Note & Rhymes with Play Streams Temporarily Canceled.   03/06/2020

      UPDATE (3/19/20): Just a quick note regarding the team at Klei Entertainment. As noted previously, everybody at Klei Entertainment is working from home due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Many of us have been working especially hard to help maintain operations as we all move out of the office and into our homes and with everything being done online, extra time must be spent in organizing conversations and trying to maintain communication. As some of you may know, we have a very open office and we are almost always in contact with each other as we go about our days. Some of us work across multiple teams and that work has become a bit more challenging for everybody.   That being said, at this time the transition has not caused any major disruption in our operations, but it would be overly optimistic to expect that we won't have any delays at all. We're going to have to be especially mindful about this in the coming weeks and make sure we don't take on too much work so we can keep things running smoothly.  We will let you know as we see how these changes affect our timelines.  Thanks UPDATE (3/10/20):
      The test yesterday went well. We got the whole office (mostly) to work from home without significant issue. As a result, Klei Staff that can work from home have been asked to do so until further notice.  This means that we will have to cancel the Rhymes with Play stream until we are all back in the office. This shouldn't affect anything else at least in the short term, but if things change I will update you all here.  Original Post: Hey everybody,  This Tuesday March 10th, 2020 the entire staff at Klei will be working remotely for 1 day in an effort to prepare the studio to work remotely for a little while if the need arises.  Klei is already set up pretty well to allow for working remotely, however we are going to have a one day "dry run" with the whole studio so that we can identify and avoid any issues or downtime that may arise should choose to implement a work from home policy due to COVID-19 outbreak concerns. Unfortunately this does mean that we will be canceling the “Rhymes with Play” Art stream this coming Tuesday, however unless the situation changes we expect everything at the studio to be back to normal Wednesday and we’ll continue our regular stream schedule Thursday March 12th. If the situation changes at all, we'll let you know. Thanks for your understanding.

  2. There's nothing that uses the boatai component though... The only references to "boatai" are contained within the component itself.
  3. It's an imperfect solution, but you can lock archery so that it can only be used by Three Eyed Man. That would mean you can at least cut out any symbols that he doesn't use
  4. Without any mods enabled, do you experience a longer load time when loading into a pre-existing world or just on initial world gen?
  5. I really liked Abigail auto-attacking butterflies for the sake of creating butter farms, but I understand how powerful that may be.
  6. As a side note, if it’s possible to add a "blooming" tag to the blooming variants of mushtrees that would be greatly appreciated! I’m working on an update to a mod that adds unique drops to mushtrees which change based on their state. I’ve run into some inconsistencies when checking for summer and then autumn with watchworldstate, so a tag check would be the best and least invasive method to update the loot tables

The onspawnfn at line 36 in mushtree.lua doesn't check for the stump tag, meaning that whenever the periodicspawner component at line 489 is called for a mushtree stump, it plays the normal spawner animation and then pushes the grown tree idle. This leaves stumps that look like normal mushtrees but can only be dug.
  8. I’ve seen plenty of stuff like this in the Fallout nexus. Generally paid content isn’t allowed, but you can use sites like gumroad where players can ‘buy’ mod item skins (from $0 up). Otherwise straight donation links or patreon seems like the way to go—though patron bonuses would have to be limited to update previews or early beta releases.

  14. Don’t worry, I’ve already got the Gorge assets backed up! Hmm... well the Jammy Sandwich is in, Pizza is in if you have the Beefalo Milk mod enabled, umm... the Meat Pie is in as a hidden Sweeney Todd reference... Spaghetti and the other pasta dishes will be coming with the next update and Fish and Chips will be coming with the Fish variety update after that.

  19. Wurt can trade cooked fish with the merm king, which I assume isn't intended. Merms love their pet fishes, why would they want to cook them? For example, Wurt says "Fish are friends, not food!" when examining cooked fish.

  21. As a reference, the pivots work best for the end table when they're at the base of the item. Trinkets that lay flat would need the pivot to be set more central to the symbol itself (see the pivot for the air freshener below and how it floats above the end table in the proof of concept above).
  22. As part of a mod I'm working on, I edit the end table in order to allow the player to decorate them with trinkets. Some of the newer trinkets work perfectly, but most of the others have their pivots set too low or not at all (see the gnome and rocket in the below image). Considering the trinket symbol pivots are only ever relevant when overriding other symbols, this may not be relevant enough to fix. I can set and repackage the trinkets with the correct pivots myself if need be. The code required to decorate the end table with trinkets would be quite simple. If you wanted to add this functionality yourselves then go right ahead!
