Spider2430
I loaded into the world and at first everything was fine I was starting to dig downward, when it was like a dam burst from above and tons of gallons of water cam rushing down from the top of a pocket that was being held by sand

Octyabr
I think some materials can't withstand the weight of water. The same happened to me with copper ore: a small pool of water on top of a layer of copper on top of a chlorine pocket, the copper began to crack and the water started to sip until the layer collapsed leaving a dug-up ore at the bottom. World generation should consider that, water should be surrounded by harder materials. Edit: In the spirit of the thread's tittle, I give you this, no words: Spoiler
Penassa
yes this has happened to me where dirt and sand could not support the weight/pressure of water mass. flooded lower areas of base but it was quite awesome to deal with
_midnightrain_
If a sandblock is at the side of such a waterpool, it will flow thru the sand and after some time the sand will crush and your base gets flooded. And I was watching so: AWESOME!
deadgag
Yup, can confirm this. Sand will slowly leak water till the tile entirely bursts. Lost one of my upper water supplies this way...
_midnightrain_
If you store to much water in build walls, they will start to scramble, leak water and after a while crush. This time I didn't thougt "awesome"... this time it was much more like "Ok F*** Yeah... When it works with natural tiles, it will also work with build ones... but... MY WATER!" (Forgot to make a screenshot before fixing that problem... Sorry.) So.. remember: If you have a big stockpile of water, build at least two Walls...
