FreyaMaluk
Using other methods (melee, gunpowder, etc) can be a bit of a pain, so I was wondering if there are good ideas to farm the horns. I use seahound attacks to decimate them, but is there a way of farming them? I don't want to kill them all, just a good trick if someone knows how to. spiderdian
The same way beefalo hunting works, I guess Just hit one of them Then run away from them All beefalos but the one you hit will stop chasing you Then you kill it(far from the others, or you'll aggro them again)

That's why I ask for any EXTRA ideas... The normal stuff I've tried already
WanderingPalm
I've been using the Boat Cannon, but I haven't actually seen any of the horns drop yet-- the wiki doesn't show the horn to be flammable, but I'm starting to question that, given the vast quantities of beefalos I've slaughtered. The only time I was able to get a horn from one was by finishing a wounded beefalo off with a spear gun. I may just adopt your method of dragging the sea hounds through the herds, though using the boat cannon will summon a bunch of those, anyway, due to the ridiculous quantities of meat dropping into the water. LtShinySides
Have you tried Poison darts? I'm fairly certain it slows movement speed. You could slow it and then use something like a coconade or just kite it. Sounds expensive though.
