What do you guys do in summer?

As we all know, Summer is a boring season. You can't go far from your base and you need to keep your base fire safe. What activities do you do in the summer?

I have a summer base in a desert, so I usually spend my time exposing tumbleweeds in the hope of getting gears or pig king collectibles. I also go to my swamp to gather reeds for Spider eggs.

I usually just board the windows to keep the sun out and watch D-Gray Man and FMA over and over again.

Using several thermal stones and fridges/ice-chester, you don't have to stick around your base at all. I prefer to explore the swamp or desert more, because even if a fire starts there, it won't cause much damage.

Funny you ask this just now; I just barely got to summer (again) on my current run!  Let's see...what do I do...

If I can't find the gears for a fling-o-matic in time to protect my main base, I just spend the summer elsewhere, so it can't catch on fire 'cos I'm not looking at it. (Whch makes PERFECT sense in the Don't Starve world.)  This worked quite well--staying at my secondary base in the woods, enjoying the beautiful black greenery, watching the merrily crackling catcoons...until Ms. Dragonfly was all like "YO WAZZUP" and I had to book it back home.  Luckily nothing caught fire the last few days of the season.

On an average summer day, I...go around exploring and scavenging, making sure to have a straw hat, umbrella, some nitre and some grass on hand at all times.  And I start checking the rabbit traps again.  I rarely manage to get a Snow Chester, but if I do have him by then at all, I will put the heat stone in him anyway 'cos at least that gets it away from _me_.   And almost every day involves a moment where suddenly the screen gets brighter off to the side, I'm like, "Huh.  _Sump'n_ just caught on fire." and then eat my lunch. : P

Basically I do my usual stuff, except with more ducking under trees. And more fire.  Of both kinds.

Spelunking. Lots and lots of spelunking. If you do it right you can easily stay down in the caves for the entire 15 days that summer lasts. Specialy good since you don't overheat as fast in the caves so with an Icebox and 2 Thermalstones you should be good to go (although I always have a spare iceblock and a Blue Amulett if possible).

I prefer to set up my Cavecamp near the Lightbulbs so I can easily get more fuel for my Lantern or Miner Helmet. It's just a lot more convenient to not having to run halfway through the caves everytime to harvest new ones if needed (also so they don't spoil this way).

As for what I do down there specificly mostly just collecting gold and gems. Sometimes a lil trip to the ruins but summer is always when I go hunting Depth Worms for a Glowberry so I can make Moggles as soon as summer ends. Or if I get lucky I can get 2 Moleworms from the earthquackes (although that's very unlikely).

i make 2 thermal stones a endothermic fire a ice cube early to help in summer and a top hat and 2 flingomatics that's usually what I do.I usually do some spelunking to get lightbulbs to make a lantern so i can explore a lot and i manage usually to survive a lot in summer
