Make kicks last longer

Recommended Posts

Wow, Just got my game to work and already raged......S2

So, there's something that is really bothering my playtime, that is the pointlessness of the actual kicks.

You vote to kick someone, right, but RIGHT after the person being kicked they can go back and grief everything again, there's no moral nor penalty, just a plain forced disconnect.

I suggest something like, if +85% of the players voted Yes, there will be a timer, like, 3 minutes per vote after the 85%, So this would demotivate the players from joining again.

There could be also the increasing ban time. If you're kicked once, you're fine to go back. At the second time, there will be a 5 minutes counter. At the third, a 10 minutes counter. The forth, a 15. And goes on....

But we should remember that this feature could easly abused by some premades.
As exampel : when 2~3 people joining an Offical Server from klei or whatever Dedicated server they going. They could easly just kik people that joins afterwards , reasons can here widestretched from just want to play alone together there or people they think are "Rookies" and didnt want to play / teach them.

Generally the Idea is good but we should remember that this can easy abused by Groups playing Together DST this way.

Edit : I Would rather think of that Dedicated servers have should ever have atleast some Protection Mods installed or making the functions of the mod implented in the game to protect from griefers. Im talking from Mods like "Ownership" , "Ownership Modify" and "Fire & Wall Protection". This 3 Mods are perfectly to protect ur server currently from Griefers and making the same time the game a bit more multiplayer viable i mean who doesnt want own chests where u store ur personal stuff and dont need to worry that anyone clear ur chest , fridge whatever when u going on a travel.

Greetings
