In my opinion, the ruins are a but shallow and need more depth. Something along the lines of what you suggested could improve the later game dramatically. Right now, all you've got is a houndius shootius, which takes killing the ancient guardian to craft, something you rarely do in PvE, and never in PvP. And I'm all for new shadow creatures. The 2 we have are killed in pretty much the same manner, and get kinda boring after a while. I've heard a suggestion where sanity dropping to 0 has special effects, such as spawning a giant shadow creature,(maybe have it drop what you need to craft guard dogs when killed?) or hallucinations of things like a tallbird popping out of your pockets, or just items being different. Like for example, there's a quest or something you need to do in hell to unlock him. JimmyJam Posted May 9, 2016 Share Posted May 9, 2016 I like the idea of added on to the ruins and the shadow monster but not so much with the hell thing. I don't see "THEM" as demons and i don't think added a hell world would fit in to the don't starve lore. But i like the idea of added lava caves and more shadow monsters and ruins lore! Just a note this is what i think and i am in no way saying this is fact!
