Pandapanda80
Blubber should be lantern fuel because back in the day the reason whaling was popular was for the blubber to fuel their lights and other resources
Asparagus
Well, they did undergo refinement but yeah, alternative fuel source is a good idea... but I don't think mixing chemicals to a lantern powered by insects or bio luminescence would be healthy
WillPwn4Food
Doesn't quite make sense considering bioluminescence is what gives off the light, but when has sense restrained the wacky world of Don't Starve? I think it's a great idea
TemporaryMan
It's not as if mining hats and lanterns were consistent with their fuel sources either. One was lit by fireflies and the other by lightbulbs, and yet they could both be refueled with either one or with slurtle slime. Refuel a bioluminescence-powered lamp with whale oil? I don't see why not.
