Jerky rotting off drying racks RoG

I thought if you leave the jerky on a drying rack in RoG it's supposed to last there indefinitely, I keep finding rot under my drying racks when I leave the jerky up too long. Is this a bug or was there a change on this?

Jerky spoils on Drying Racks in RoG. However doesn't matter how spoiled the meat was before drying, it won't spoil on Drying Racks before turning into jerky.

Ah thanks, is it the same with crock pots too then? I used to be able to just leave cooked food on a crockpot forever, does that not work in singleplayer RoG?

Rabbits will also not last indefinitely, just as a heads up.  No more easy food storage in RoG.

Thanks for the replies, I have another unrelated question, do lureplants spawn in random spots? I placed down 15 tooth traps in one area only to get back to that place 2 days later and find a lureplant had spawned there and devoured all of the tooth traps which sucks a lot - was that just me getting unlucky or did the lureplant spawn there on purpose? How could something like this be avoided?

Yeah, they spawn at random. They don't spawn on rocky turf, if I'm not mistaken.
