Serph Posted March 6, 2016 Author Share Posted March 6, 2016 Just bumping to say i didn't suceed and i won't try anymore. I was playing a pub when someone whispered to me about this trade offer they saw in the forum (i don't know if it's a user here or not). I was happy at first but then the other player said they would only trade with me if i gave both the party frock, the cocktail dress and the robe. I complained about how unfair that was but he/she said that i should be thankful because this was my only chance to get the jacket before the new stem trade system comes. For those who don't know, those without steam mobile app have to wait 3 days for every trade (unless they've been friends for over a year) but Steam will increase that to 15 days. I know how much the 3 day wait hurts all of my trades chances,hell, i even lost the previous offer because of it, so i can only assume that a 15 day wait will downright kill any chance for me to trade with anyone that isn't a year old friend. In the end i denied the offer and kept my things. I know i should get the mobile app but i live in a third world country and i can't afford a brand new smartphone. I also avoid the market at all costs because my country doesn't use dollar so what looks like a cheap items is over 4 times "more expensive" to me. Either way, with the new 15 day wait coming i know the market will be the only way to get any items i want, i will buy the jacket in the market when i see it at a reasonable price. Sorry for anyone who had to read through this and doesn't care, as i said, i'm just bumping to say the offer is closed. I also live in a 3rd world country, and I know just how expensive things can get because of the increase of the dollar's value. Though I thought trades would remain the same waiting period and that only market listings would go up to 15 days. So I thought that the more expensive the item you want to sell is, the more you'd have to wait... I was thinking about adding my tuxedo gloves i got yesterday to "increase the price" too but i changed my mind. Either way, i already bought one Canadian Jacket from the market. Since i play multiple characters, i just wanted a nice skin that (unlike the dresses) looks good on everyone, i don't care about collecting items i won't use so i don't plan on buying/trading any skin for now.
