Why in market there are 2 valkyrie armors (for example)?

Recommended Posts

there was a problem with original market listings, and Klei had to make new listings for a lot of items. They can't actually delete the original listings, but I'm pretty sure they deactivated adding new buy and sell offers for those listings, so they are stuck at whatever value they were at when they were deactivated. Hopefully, people will eventually remove their buy offers and those listings will get deleted.

You can tell which listing is real by checking the url: all caps in the item name is the real one.

Just a reminder - if you are in one of those fake listings PLEASE delist your item and relist it so it goes in the correct category!

okay

By the way, how could this happen?

Also, if you are looking at the market, you can click the Price heading to sort the items from cheapest to most expensive. This will make it easier to check that you are getting the lower price for the item you want to purchase.

It was a bug when we first enabled marketplace (my bad - those bad listings mock me every time I look at the marketplace). Fun story about the steam marketplace - there's no test environment. You test your marketplace code by bringing it live and seeing what happens. :(

Oh, sounds like fun xD Don't You worry bro! It's alright! It's just another cool story about Don't Starve! Btw. I bought Don't Starve Shipwrecked and it's magnificent! Good work! I had so much fun playing that and I still have! :D

Hey, and one more question. Why on market, some items are craftable? Since there is no crafting system in game... Strange to me :)

Backpacks are craftable - those are probably the items you are talking about. ^^

Just to be really, really clear here:

1. The multiple listings were caused by a bug on our end. The bug is now fixed, but we can't easily remove the old listings.

2. The "craftable" tag indicates that the item is a skin is for an object which is craftable in game, NOT that the Steam item itself is craftable.

I have no words that would not violate the community standards.... No testing environment WTF ?  Not much you guys can do about it, but still.

Do the "ghost" listings dissipate over time?

We were hoping they would, but nope! Luckily we asked our friends at Valve to fix my mistake for me and they seem to have obliged (there are way fewer ghost listings now)
