Fortunately, and unfortunately for Julia, adrenaline was already pumping through the dragon's veins, delaying the pain. Filled with rage, the dragon let loose a bloodcurdling screech and attacked the jokers with savagery. The area around her quickly became clouded with smoke.

~~~~~~~~
Kate had already been stirring, but the dragon's screech finally woke her with a start. She looked around at the confusing, blurry scene playing out before her. "Wha-what ha-" "Kate, we need to go to the cargo hold." The seriousness of Kade's tone caused her to nod without question. She scooped Wiffleball up, and headed down to the hold.
~~~~~~~~

The dragon carved her way through the jokers towards the sea creature, a trail of smoky death in her wake. She attempted to fly to help dispel the ones on his body, but the tear in her wing messed with her aerodynamics. She only got far enough to swat at one stabbing his eye. Her claw hit it right in the face. No smoke. Blood. Not wasting a single second, the dragon crashed on to the real Julia, pinned her down with her uninjured arm, and bit down on an appendage. With a single, violent jerk, the arm tore off with a sickening rip and a spout of blood. The dragon wasn't relenting.

(My suggestion is to have a flood of jokers peal the dragon away from Julia, but you may have a different idea.)

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *Breath* OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Trevor yelled.

(MERIT! MY CHARACTER DEATH!) Screaming, Julia's reaction was suprisingly fast. As she blurred, more and more Julia's occupied the claw area of the dragon's hand, until they burst out. One by one they started attacking the dragon, furiously hacking and slashing with their claws. The original Julia staggered to her feet, crouched, and with all her strength propelled her towards the creature's eye.

Meritursas devours the remaining jokers whole, then grabs Julia out of midair and smashes her against the ground.  She slams into the beach in a poof of sand.  The enormous serpent crawls towards her slowly, slithering across the ground.  "last...mistake."  He says, opening his jaws slightly.

(ninja'd.)

"You... Seem... To... Forget... One...  Thing..." Julia was coughing up blood, barley able to get her words out.

"Cat's... Have... Nine... Lives..."

With that, she blurred for the last time. The original body was dead, but eight jokers had spun out. "We have eight minutes"

"That's long enough to kill you"

The first joker span out, grabbing Merit's bulb and clawing until it no-longer glowed. The other four targeted the eyes of the two behemoths, and the last three simply spread out. One, however, made a dash for the harpoon gun, which had been lying in the sand, one end in the dragon.

(I am going to assume Meritursas didn't eat the jokers on the dragon or else she would be eaten too.)

The dragon flailed on her back, swatting at the jokers surrounding her with all her appendages. The claws couldn't penetrate her scales, so they weren't much more than a nuance, but they kept her pinned and distracted as she growled and roared furiously.

The Julia that had been running for the harpoon made it there. Attempting to rewind it, instead she comically found herself being violently yanked towards the dragon by the chain. Upon landing, she started to pull the barbed ending out of the bone it was stuck in.

Lumenis choked out a sentance; "I. Was. Bound. To. Her. Only." Slowly, he buillt up speed, before shipping into the forest. There was a squaking noise ( now the doydoy is dead) and a slight aftereffect of it's white fur, but otherwise, no trace.

Meritursas decides to kill Lumenis later, and crawls towards the insect-lizard thing to help it.  As he passes Julia's corpse, he pulverizes what's left of it with his claw, splattering gore all over the sand and Trevor.  The cowardly human would just have to peel her off the ground.

(Speaking of which, where's Mark?)

(Also, I just realized the painful irony of that above statement and this post.)

(Oh come on...)

The last two jokers stood up, and pulled out their knives. In unison, they said: "If you ever, in your life, leave this cursed place, you will not be safe until the Glade is ash or you are dead. That is a singular promise."

With that, they simultaneously threw their knives and vanished, in a puff of white smoke.
