Yaarctopus should accept eggs

Recommended Posts

With Pig King, gold were relatively quick to regenerate when you have too much leftovers: cook all food with fire, then feed to a caged bird for eggs, then exchange gold with those eggs with Pig King. Sickwreck introduced several new recipes (such as the Ice Generator 3000, Spyglass, Cutlass Supreme). Yaarctopus should accept eggs, then give gold or doubloons which could then be turned into golds. Or game balance is broken.

NO he should not. He is not pig king! Also he takes those little fish so he still have this feature

But the octopus king sleeps just after receiving a single fish, giving a single dubloon = 1/3 gold. You need to be around him for 6 days if you are trying to make an golden axe using him as the sole gold source. If not, then looking for gold is also too hard. (I am playing my 140 day of SW, end of the second volcano season). On the other hand, the clockwork boats seems to be spawning too much (I already have about 100 gears; the triplet spawned about 8 times).

True

- you can use dubloons in slot machine (at least i do) and you can get tools and gold from there

- pirate parrots also spawning dubloons

- try to give him some trinket for more dubloons (yaarctopus)

- yes Clockworks are spawning too much (maybe just change 1 gear for every clockwork)

Uh, hello. Welcome to the INVISIBLE INC forum. The place to discuss INVISIBLE INC. If you lack basic reading comprehension when choosing which forum to create a thread in, then I advise you to look for a dude with a FEDORA AND TRENCH COAT to the left in the background image, if you see him then you are in the wrong place. To be fair I don't know if the background image is there if viewing the page on mobile and I have a suspicion that most of the people that make Don't Starve threads here are trying to fight a Varg with one hand and making a thread with the other.

I found that the bird type is dependent on biome also in shipwreck; on seashore biome where you have seashells, sand piles and palm tress but not snakes and monkeys etc., it seems only tucans (black birds) appear. And, since the pirate parrot is a red bird, it does NOT spawn in that biome. However, other biomes are either too hostile or some resource is very restricted that it is not good for making a small home. (I don't like having a long time big base anyway). Maybe we should make the pirate parrot spawn also on seashores, not only in jungles.

Oh, dear, thank you! I did not notice they had separate forums. Going to there now.

So take that turf and put it in your base .)

Out of topic, but maybe the pirate parrot should give you dubloons when fed. It would motivate players to catch one.

Before you say it's op, please keep in mind that if he does, he'll do it against meat. He'd be some sort of portable ping king, but less effective.

About the slot machine, it'd be great if it weren't draining sanity at an alarming rate!
