mitboy Posted December 23, 2015 Share Posted December 23, 2015 In recent update, they made whales drop at least 4 blubber, which allows you to make blubber suit by killing just one whale (If you are lucky, you might even get extra blubber to make windbreaker too). Additionally, it is far from essential as there are many other options for dealing with wetness throughout the year. Seems like a very similar situation here in my opinion. Besides, being able to find and kill 2+ whales and also let them bloat before Storm season rolls around is a lot to ask of most players. It make no sense to drop my backpack and wear it for a few second of strong wind. Cause I will then have to backtrack and find my backpack.If it is like a whole day of non-stopping strong wind then yes I think I will need it.Otherwise umbrella + football helmet/ miner hat and I got to keep my backpack, good enough. There are many ways to prevent wetness and if you collect a **** load of items on long journeys,bagpack + umbrella, dumbrella/snake hat is better in most cases. Does blubber suit has lightning res?
