[Bug/functionality] Volcanic Eruptions non-stop

So I'm at about day 70-73 now, and volcanic eruptions just keep coming. Before an eruption ends, I get the warning (rumbling + character comments) that another one is coming already. I'm up to 5 in a row now as I write this. This can't possibly be right. In fact, I actually have 2 eruptions happening at once right now. Rocks are falling every 2 seconds

That`s great, it means, that it is the end of the season. I hope you did't waste the season, because it is the only season in which you can collect a lot of obsidian with the trawl net (you may need an obsidian blue print from a treasure chest.

I just died on Day 74. It's kind of fun? Because of all the cooked meat I was collecting. But it was getting to be ruthless and I'm certain it was sensing where I was headed to plop a boulder in my track. If they could slow their roll a tad, it wouldn't be so stressful. I'm impressed with anyone who's been able to survive that.

Ah man I just died day 72 got hit right in the head with a rock.

 

I think this should be re-balanced a bit. Either make the rocks not insta-kill or reduce the frequency or something. Or add an item like a lead umbrella or something that protects against a falling rock for one use.

 

There doesn't really seem to be a way to prepare for it, you just have to hope you don't screw up the dodging.

3-4 straight days of rocks that one-shot you falling every 2 seconds, with ash blurring visibility...seems like overkill to me. The extended period of time this covers means not only do you have to deal with the eruption itself, but hunger, overheating, sanity, health, darkness, wetness, and boat health all without going back to your base for several days. I got through it, but it wasn't fun nor engaging.

Is a day 78 volcanic eruption normal?(I didn't pick up any staff/trap etc)

I have that happened once in my first game.

I knew it, but you can only use it four times, and it don't unlock the recipe.

 

Only with the blueprints, or the obsidian workbench, you can unlock the recipes permanently.

True, but they aren't too difficult to get and obsidian stuff lasts quite a while.

RoG offered items, to combat the harshness of seasons. The best items were typically made from the giant in that season. We need an item than can offset the difficulty of these eruptions. An obsidian umbrella. The Ob-Brella! Or an Extra Hard Hard Hat! I really don't know. We need something. I have played a lot. And I feel like there are cool unique mobs that don't equate to anything very new items. Like the Superior Cutlass, and the darts, but there are easier darts to get in the base game.
