Briansey Posted November 12, 2015 Share Posted November 12, 2015 So, I was thinking, since the skins are gonna be tradeable through Steam, are they going to be able to be sold and bought at the Steam Market as well?I really hope that's not the case, microtransactions really ruin a game, even when it's just cosmetic stuff. BTW I'm looking forward for this update, totally digging (get it?) those caves! Also, not sure if I heard it on one of Klei's streams, or read it somewhere, but I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to sell skins for real money. I'm not very familiar with how Steam works since I only started using Steam when I bought DST over the summer. Think like this, if there was a steam market for DST, a lot of the casual players/those who don't visit the forums would sell their skins on the market. Chances are there would be too much skins for the demand and their prices would go down over time potentially reaching CSGO cheap skins price level. If they do reach this level of cheapness it wouldn't be worth keeping your computer on just to get a few cents on steam weekly. TF2, CSGO and DOTA2 have such strong market/economy because of Metals, Keys, Crates, Exclusives, etc. DST might never have anything like that. But this is coming from someone who think the system is fine right now. But I wouldn't lose any sleep if there was a market for DST.
