Issue Description: Every now and then beefalo tend to chase you forever. It happens when you don't run in a straight line. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Anger beefalo 2. Don't run in straight lines to get away from them 3. Die from freezing while running for literally 8 time bars. NotStarvnMarvn Posted October 4, 2015 Author Share Posted October 4, 2015 im saying if you dont: even if you run straight for 8 seconds, then run upward for 8 seconds, run though and doge them then go straight down for about 12 seconds, repeat. They will still be chasing you and that repeats forever. DarkXero Posted October 4, 2015 Share Posted October 4, 2015 Use a road or obstacles so you will be faster and beefalo won't reach you for the seconds needed for the chase to end. If the beefalo performs the attack animation, whether it hits you or not (you keep running and dodge), it will keep following you. imsomony Posted October 6, 2015 Share Posted October 6, 2015 It's not a bug, it's literally coded in the files. Beefalo have a targeting distance / combat range after being attacked (and/or being in mating season). By zig-zagging and circling around, you're keeping yourself within that range. As @DarkXero says, you need to run in a straight line to get out of the attack field. If you have 2 or more chasing you, they often get in one anothers way and keep the range extended, making the run-away take longer. I know how how this works with mobs hitting you and chasing forever but sometimes merms chase me for long time without even TRY to hit me. Looks like its random but it is happening a lot. If he can do attack animation he will try to reach to you... yes sometimes even if you go straight he may chase u for quite some time cuz ur ping is low or server issues etc may cause this issue since you think you are ahead of the beefalo but in fact ur not at the place that you see on ur pc. Every attack animation makes him chase you you can get a beefalo from savannah and take him to other side of the world by waiting him to do his attack animation everytime.
