Faust + Central. What do you think?

Anyone tried Faust with Central? Faut gives you 2 pwr round but a 20% chance to get a Daemon. Central gives you 5 pwr when you get a Daemon. That's a lot of power at the beginning but you have to handle the Daemons. I am using that combo with Nika. She can use the power...

I liked that playthrough. It got really annoying at some points, like when a paradox prevented me from progressing a level at all for a few turns, but it was worth a chance to get the fortune daemon. I did get Nika, and gave her a volt disruptor 3, even though I didn't use it very much, but what I did get was a tag gun, and surprisingly Nika's passive does trigger on the tag gun. I didn't experiment very much with it, but I can imagine that some people can come up with some crazy strategies with that.

Besides the fact I hate playing like a brute (i.e by knocking out everyone I meet), Nika can be an absolute powerhouse with the rights upgrades. Give her +6 AP when knocking out and she'll be able to get more than 30 AP per turn, at the cost of 4 power, simply because of 1. the double attack 2. the fact that the +AP perks get triggered if you use the stun gun on a downed enemy. I had a Nika on Expert with +9 AP on KO, +2 AP per hack, 3 armor penetration and a cloaking rig just to top it off.

She managed to singlehandedly bring all three of her downed teammates to the extraction zone (for some reason there was no Nanofabricator on the level, therefore no medgel) in less that 5 turns.

The only actual limitations for that strategy is a good Power setup (Brimstone or Fusion and a sidekick like Internationale or Gladstone), and the fact that by stunning everyone, you're basically going all in. It's quite a peculiar playstyle, really. I like a more subtile approach, and I'd love to see we have a more stealth-focused new character tomorrow at release (for instance, someone who doesn't get detected at all when in peripheral vision).

Sorry for the guards, but I always (ab?)use that passive against downed guards for additional 6 APs(With predictive brawling, more than that).

I feel a little bit horror when I command Nika to stun pinned guard twice...

Faust + Central is awesome, but that RNG can most definitely screw you in later levels of Endless.

I'd say it's very balanced.  High chance of maintaining high power, but that doesn't matter a whole lot since you'll have Incognita locked a LOT more of the time while having credits siphoned from your agency and spawning SO many Enforcers.

I like to think of Faust + Central as a more advanced setup.  It's super fun, but Fusion + Parasite is still more efficient.

I did an Expert Plus run the other day with Faust + Gladstone + Brimstone. Couple things to note.

If you take Gladstone as a starting agent, you don't get an extra free agent on the final mission. Take that into consideration.

Faust is nice for the increased power, and usually you only get one or two daemons in a level. But then again, sometimes you get three one after another: Extra enforcer, -2 agent AP, cannot hack for three turns. If you're going Faust, be sure of your capabilities and always assume that on your next turn, you could lose Incognita for three turns.

If you're going Faust, you might as well take Brimstone to help offset bad daemons. Expensive on the power, but Faust's +2 per turn is twice as good as the default Power Drip program. And since Brimstone is only 50% less efficient than Lockpick 1.0, you end up with a net positive outlook on your power, without even including Gladstone! And you can pick up better programs in the first mission, then just keep Brimstone for the passive bonus. Works wonderfully.
