Is this a glitch or am I just this lucky ?

Soo as you can see from the screenshots, I found 4 mandrakes. Killed one and 3 others are following me. This all happened in 3 days ! and I found them all in the same area !

Default world settings, so it can't be that.

As far as I know they should be super rare. Like 3-5 in one world but i found 4 in the same area.

Oh yeah the mods I'm using are Minimap HUD, Display food values and Always on Status but they dont affect the game like that! At least they shouldn't.

It's normal , DS wiki :

When picked at dusk or night (or when underground), it will turn into a living Mandrake, following the player around and constantly making noise until morning, after which it will replant itself on the spot."

And about the place :

only 2-5 Mandrake will spawn per world. They often spawn together in the same area, so finding one will usually result in finding them all.

Don't be too excited.

If you get the magic thing up and find a swamp, you can make yourself the sleep flute! That'd be fantastic before winter

Why would having a flute for winter be fantastic? I mean it's a cool item to have but is it more useful during the winter than during other seasons?

Dear clops?

Or you're so pro and decide to fight him and the resulting nightmares with spear and logsuit... (not saying it wouldn't be possible)

Or you've got RoG, in which case it, sleep darts or an ice staff are generally recommendable.
